What "no KYC" means at offcard
Most card products ask for a passport or ID card, a selfie and a proof of address before you can spend a cent. offcard does not. You sign up with an email address, deposit crypto, and create a Visa virtual card in the same session. Nobody reviews an application and nothing is uploaded.
That is a description of the product, not a loophole. You still agree to the terms: you must be 18 or older, outside the restricted territories, and using the card for lawful purchases. Skipping identity checks means no wait and no document trail with us; it does not make a purchase invisible to the merchant you pay.
What we actually collect
An email address and a password (or a Google login). When you create a card you type the cardholder name that will appear on it, and when you send money to a bank you enter the account holder details the receiving bank requires. None of this is verified against documents, and the privacy policy lists exactly what is kept and for how long.
Because we hold no identity documents, there are none to lose in a breach and none to hand over. Card numbers are fetched from the issuer only when you ask to see them and are never stored by offcard.
What the card can do
It is a full Visa debit virtual card in US dollars: online checkout with 3-D Secure codes delivered to your dashboard, Apple Pay and Google Pay for contactless payments in store, and ATM withdrawals of up to $3,000 per transaction once you set a PIN. Spending is limited to $50,000 per card per month and there is no limit on the number of cards.
Deposits are accepted in twenty cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, USDT and USDC, from $5 to $15,000 per deposit with a 5% fee. A card costs $49 to issue and $1 per load; payments cost $0.30 each plus 1.5% when not in USD. If you would rather have cash in a bank account, send your balance by ACH to an eligible US account for 5% + $5.
Who it is for
People who hold crypto and want to pay for ordinary things without opening an exchange account and a bank account first. Travellers who want a card that works in any country without a local address. Anyone who has been asked for the same documents one time too many.
It is not for getting around sanctions or for hiding proceeds of crime; accounts used that way are closed. Read the terms before you sign up, and use the help centre if anything is unclear.
