Why XMR holders look for a card

Monero is a privacy-focused cryptocurrency with a dedicated Monero network. That can make it attractive to people who prefer not to leave every holding and transfer on a public chain. It does not, however, turn an ordinary purchase into something abstract: subscriptions, flights and online shopping still need a normal payment method. A Visa virtual card fills that practical gap.

offcard lists Monero first in its deposit flow. You sign up with an email address, select XMR, and send Monero to the deposit details shown in the dashboard. No identity documents are requested to open an account or create a card. That is a product fact, not a promise of anonymity or legal advice.

From a Monero deposit to a card balance

Use only the Monero network for an XMR deposit. The dashboard provides the exact receiving details for that deposit. Once the Monero transfer is confirmed and processed, offcard records the deposit and makes the resulting USD balance available. The supported deposit range is $5 to $15,000 and the deposit fee is 5%.

For a concrete example, a $200 XMR deposit has a $10 deposit fee. That leaves $190 in the USD balance before any later card issuance or funding costs. If you choose to issue a card, the one-time issue fee is $49. If you load $100 to that card, add the $1 card-funding fee to your planning. The dashboard shows the amounts before you proceed.

Using the offcard Visa

After the balance is available, create an offcard Visa virtual card instantly. Its number, expiry date and CVV are revealed in the dashboard when needed. It can be used for online purchases, added to Apple Pay or Google Pay for contactless payments, and used at supported ATMs with a PIN.

Some online merchants ask for 3-D Secure verification. When that happens, the one-time code appears in your offcard dashboard rather than arriving through an unrelated channel. You can also block or unblock the card, set its PIN, move eligible funds back to balance, and close it. The offcard Visa virtual card costs $49 to issue. Moving money from the USD balance onto the card costs $1; the first load is at least $10, later loads start at $5, and each top-up can be as high as $10,000. Card authorisations cost $0.30. Foreign-currency transactions carry a 1.5% fee.

Deciding between spending and payout

If the aim is to pay a merchant, load the virtual card from your USD balance. If the aim is an eligible US bank account, use the ACH payout flow instead. The platform service fee is 5% of the gross amount plus $5; the bank budget after that fee is capped at $7,500, and the bank must receive at least $25 after any applicable bank fee. The final quote shows the exact debit, each fee, and actual bank receive, with any nonzero bank fee listed separately.

Before sending XMR, check the selected deposit details carefully. Crypto transfers rely on the selected coin and network being correct. For account help or a deposit question, use the public help centre or the in-app support centre after signing in.
