From a deposit to cash in hand
Deposit crypto, and it becomes a US dollar balance. Create a Visa virtual card for $49, load it, set a six-digit PIN from the card page and add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay. At any Visa ATM with a contactless reader, hold your phone to the reader, enter the PIN and take the cash.
The whole path from deposit to ATM takes minutes, not days: the deposit is credited as soon as the network confirms it, the card is issued instantly, and the PIN is active the moment you set it.
Limits and fees at the ATM
Each card can withdraw up to $3,000 per transaction, four times a day, and up to $100,000 a month. offcard charges the same $0.30 authorisation fee as any card payment, plus 1.5% conversion when the ATM pays out a currency other than US dollars. The ATM operator may add its own surcharge, which is shown on screen before you accept.
Because limits are per card, you can hold more than one card if you need more headroom. Loads are $1 each and can be as large as $10,000; the card must keep at least $5 after any withdrawal back to your balance.
Where it works
The card is a US dollar Visa, so it works at Visa ATMs in any country that is not on the restricted list. There is no plastic card, which means the ATM must accept contactless withdrawals; most machines in Europe, North America, the Gulf, and East and South-East Asia do, and the number grows every year.
Withdrawals in local currency are converted at the Visa rate plus 1.5%. If the ATM offers to charge you in US dollars instead, decline: that dynamic currency conversion rate is almost always worse.
Prefer a bank account?
Cash is not always the answer. From the same balance you can send US dollars to an eligible US bank account by ACH for 5% + $5, with instant arrival when the receiving bank supports it and two to five working days otherwise.
Both options sit side by side in the dashboard, so you can take a little cash today and move the rest to an eligible bank account tomorrow.
